Program

In the midst of upheaval, what’s possible to prepare the next generation of journalists?

Our purpose: to create a space for students, educators, media professionals and their allies to explore this question together.

Our aspiration: you discover and pursue promising possibilities.

The DC Sessions, 2007 breakout session on Education that Matters, https://journalismthatmatters.org/dc/education-that-matters/

July 10, 2020

On June 19 and 20, small group conversations self-organized around your questions. That laid the groundwork for July 10’s focus on what’s possible now?

Got an idea, project or initiative that you want to explore? The group will organize itself for deep dive conversations for bringing ideas to life. As stimulus, we’ll offer questions from the ProAction Café – a practice for developing ideas and projects.

Welcome

We’ll set the stage with a check-in from all.

Set the “Tables”

If you have an initiative, idea, or project you wish to develop, name it.

Small group discussions

Three rounds of conversations exploring the ideas, initiatives and projects you bring.

Closing reflections

We’ll come back together to reflect on what we discovered, where we are now, and what’s next.
