Health<\/p>\n<p>2. There is information that is close to home, matters to the individual<br \/>\na. School lunch menu<br \/>\nb. Weather<br \/>\nc. Is an event sold out yet<br \/>\nd. Food<br \/>\ne. Music<br \/>\nf. Art<br \/>\ng. Health<br \/>\nh. Crossword<br \/>\ni. Children events<br \/>\nj. Money<br \/>\nk. Crime<br \/>\nl. Personal passions<\/p>\n<p>3. How do we know it matters?<\/p>\n<p>a. People spend time<br \/>\nb. People spend money<br \/>\nc. People exhibit passion<br \/>\nd. We can measure by<br \/>\ne. Circulation<br \/>\nf. Unique visitors<\/p>\n<p>4. What impacts the demand for information?<br \/>\na. Creating new market (packaging a problem?)<br \/>\nb. Conveys relevance<br \/>\nc. Story, not fact driven<br \/>\nd. News always \u201cbad\u201d<br \/>\ne. Offer empowerment<br \/>\nf. Offer ways to control<br \/>\ng. Offer ways to make a difference<\/p>\n<p>5. Who Pays?<br \/>\na. Social investors, not looking for a market rate of return<br \/>\nb. Iconoclast publisher<br \/>\nc. Foundations\u2014set up, seed, ongoing<br \/>\nd. Government?<br \/>\ne. Users<br \/>\nf. Advertisers<\/p>\n<p>6. CHALLENGE \u2014How do we make media support \u201ccool\u201d or \u201csocially responsible\u201d?<br \/>\na. Recognize a movement and seek investment<br \/>\nb. Seek investment in experiments<br \/>\nc. Focus on values, not egos<br \/>\nd. Should be decentralized, community focused?<\/p>\n<p>7.
