The team has been<br \/>\nsurveying and analyzing the operations and challenges of more than 40<br \/>\nlocal online news\/community sites nationwide and have provocative<br \/>\ninitial findings about gatekeeping, technology, and legacy news<br \/>\norganizations. She will also discuss their development of a<br \/>\nsophisticated social network that is connecting those with needs,<br \/>\nresources and shared interests in citizen and community journalism.
