Concept: Grassroots “place blogs” and alternative media producers will feed into a newswire resource called RootsWire. This will aggregate local stories from around the state. We also envision sharing events calendars that will result in a state-wide calendar of progressive events. The content and events will include progressive news, opinion, commerce, arts and entertainment, government, environment. Progressive political blogs will aggregate as a separate political and analysis center.
This wire will work with the CapTimes in Madison that recently went to a minimal paper newspaper and work with Center for Independent Media/Robin Marty on technical matters.
