Based on standard interview questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Housed all articles on a common webpage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Got good responses, and community engagement. Succeeded at disrupting stereotypes and changed public perceptions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Done this on other topics: housing affordability (What defines affordability? Pair with personal stories of difficulties of affording housing).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Options for worker stories<br>\u2022 Could have a regional focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Could have topical focus (e.g., teachers, restaurant workers, warehouse workers)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Watchdog, guide dog, or no dog?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Watchdog: accountability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidedog solutions journalism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No dog: no gatekeepers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Question: Who is allowed to be a guide dog or watchdog?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Response<\/strong>: \u201cNo gatekeepers<strong>\u201d <\/strong>means letting in those excluded by the media.<strong> <\/strong>Example-Detroit: water shutoffs. Considered a \u201cnon-story\u201d by mainstream media. Another organization (Outlier) came along. Not only wrote about it but set up a hotline.&nbsp; Incorporate the voices of people (people of color, low-income) whose stories are not in the media. Address the class and race bias in the media.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the dogs can play together.
