Andrew Sherry is the Senior Vice President for Online Communications at the Center for American Progress. An online publishing executive since 1999, he joined the center after serving both as director of online ventures and deputy managing editor of USATODAY.com. Previously, he was vice president of a Hong Kong-based start-up that deployed broadband Internet and information services to top hotels in nine countries.

A former journalist, Mr. Sherry was a wire-service reporter in Europe, the Middle East and Asia before becoming politics & policy editor of the Far Eastern Economic Review, a weekly magazine owned by Dow Jones & Co. He covered many of the top Asian stories of the 1990s, from the opening of Vietnam and Cambodia to the Hong Kong handover, the regional economic crisis and the democratic transformations of South Korea and Indonesia. He is a graduate of Haverford College.
