Example of Jane McGonigal\u2019s game for the New York Public Library: <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/game.nypl.org\/#\/\">Find the Future: The Game<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rheingold.com\/\">http:\/\/www.Rheingold.com<\/a>. Rheingold, a journalist, founder of Wired, prof. at Berkeley, Stanford, created a Wiki-based, asynchronous online classroom on \u201cinfotension.\u201d How to control info overflow. Questions of transparency come up a lot in these classes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/journalismthatmatters.org\/biblionewssessionnotes\/2011\/04\/08\/melody-ng-allison-payne-colin-wilkins\/\">How can we engage underserved communities to understand their information needs, create knowledge, increase social capital and strengthen the institutions committed to both?<\/a><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>DOK in the Netherlands, <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.libraryjournal.com\/lj\/home\/886170-264\/whats_your_story_dutch_library.html.csp\">http:\/\/www.libraryjournal.com\/lj\/home\/886170-264\/whats_your_story_dutch_library.html.csp<\/a> recognized as one of the most innovative libraries in the world, with community-focused technology, spackes where you could tell your story, touch screens to browse these, and a \u2018heritage browser.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/skokienet.org\/\">http:\/\/skokienet.org\/<\/a> at the Skokie, IL public library, innovation example<\/li>\n<li>partnerships with local historical societies?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/journalismthatmatters.org\/biblionewssessionnotes\/2011\/04\/10\/breakout-session-working-together-for-community-engagement\/\">Breakout session: working together for community engagement <\/a><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>September is Civic Awareness Month: The following link was emailed to me by Wilmington Memorial Library\u2019s Reference Librarian. For example as it relates to ownership? Posting images becomes point of source\/record\u2014library as public repository, host in a public way<br \/>\npersistence of access<br \/>\nwikimedia commons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/journalismthatmatters.org\/biblionewssessionnotes\/2011\/04\/14\/is-it-possible-to-create-a-global-information-network-for-investigative-journalists\/\">Is it possible to create a global information network for investigative journalists? <\/a><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Perhaps by connecting members of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reportingproject.net\/\">Organized Crime and Corruption  Reporting Project <\/a>with organizations such as: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ire.org\/\"> IRE<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globaljournalist.org\/\">Global Journalist<\/a>,  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rjionline.org\/\">RJI<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.soros.org\/\">Soros<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sla.org\/\">SLA<\/a>, European and Asian business librarians, we can begin to  investigate the possibilities of building information networks. This group will begin to have conversations about connecting networks  interested in coming together to investigate the feasibility of  creating a global information network for journalists.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/journalismthatmatters.org\/biblionewssessionnotes\/2011\/04\/25\/digital-citizen-2012\/\">Digital Citizen 2012 <\/a><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Digital Citizen 2012 is a converged media project that will seamlessly connect citizens online and via their mobile phones to televised election discussion programs, leveling the playing field between candidates and pundits, and the issues people care about.
